I had a job for six years…and then one day…I didn’t.

After two months of fruitless job hunting…I did the only other thing that I could do.  Cook. 

A single Mom of a teenager doesn’t have time for self-pity. She has to get things done.

I started Feisty Flavors Catering in November 2011, and have since exceeded my own expectations.

I was Born in Trinidad, raised in Brooklyn, and had no formal culinary training. My previous line of work gave me the opportunity to visit different countries, and interact with people from all over the world. I decided to let my food reflect it all.

My cuisine is best described as Carib-Fusion…My West Indian heritage is the foundation, and my experiences with Italian, Asian, Latin, and American add an interesting twist.

When I set out to do this, I never imagined that I would end up in the Daily News, or on Food Network, or VH1.  These things are truly a blessing…but I really cook for the love of it…the recognition is a bonus.
